How To Play Golf from Point A !! A FANTASTIC talk with Susie Meyers and Justin Tang.
Hello and welcome to the Flag Hunters Golf Podcast ! I am your host Jesse Perryman along with my occasional partner in crime, Justin Tang of the Tana Mara Golf Club. This week on the Pod we are honored with Susie Meyers from Tucson, Arizona. Susie is a Top 100 Teacher and has written a book, that I believe should be a prerequisite if you wanna get better AND if you're a Coach, teach better.
Susie Meyers has been teaching since 1988 and also has played at a high level having played college Golf at The University of Arizona. Her playing accomplishments include playing on the LPGA Tour, 4 US Opens and 1 LPGA Championship. Also, Susie has been a member of the PGA since 1994.
I believe that a good coach has the ability to teach holistically, meaning they coach all facets of the game, not just the swing motion. Susie has this ability in Spades having been deeply influenced by Micheal Hebron on Brain based learning and how people learn and perform motor skills. Susie also takes into account that peoples emotions and self esteem are the most important part of learning and developing. Susie has also written a book called, "From Point A" which we discuss in this conversation.
