Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome, and I want to express my gratitude here on the Flag Hunters Golf Podcast. I am your host, jesse Perriven, along with my brother from another mother, the instructor at the Tanimera Golf Club in Singapore. His name is Justin Tang, one of the better coaches that I've ever known in this game of golf that we all love and why we tune into podcasts like ours and we sometimes can't get enough. But this is a short one, I'm just. This is a solo episode that's not going to last very long. I just wanted to express my deep and heartfelt gratitude to you, the listener that listens and gives me feedback, gives both Justin and I feedback on what you want to hear, what enables you to get better, maybe what is stumping you in your own game, and you want us to find that professional or that expert to help unclog any thoughts that you may have. The goal of the podcast, of the Flag Hunters Golf Podcast, is to help you, the player, steer you down the right rabbit holes, and we do that by hiring or not hiring, excuse me by having people come onto the podcast that talk about not only the golf swing but how to play. You know, maybe help to uncloud ambiguities that you may have and which rabbit hole that you want to go down, what you're supposed to do next, what you're trying to learn and what can possibly help you to get better, help you to ascend, playing this game and that's what we're here for, that's what we do. That's what's the inspiration behind me starting this thing.

Speaker 1:

I actually got the idea a few years ago because of my own frustration, and I knew that I was going to get back into playing. My wife and I raised five children. They're all pretty much grown adults now away to school. So my passion has always been to play, and when I knew that this day would come, I started to go down my own rabbit hole, researching on Twitter, on Instagram, on YouTube, and talking to people that I know in the business, and trying to find the right way to restart the second half of my amateur golf career. And what I found out? There was a lot of, quite frankly, a lot of bullshit, a lot of information that didn't help me. In fact, it provided more confusion, more ambiguity, and I thought to myself this is not good.

Speaker 1:

So in my years in the golf business, I've made many friends, I've become friends with great instructors, and I thought that this was a great idea to have this podcast in a forum that is coming from individuals that have studied the game for a lifetime, whatever their profession is in the genre from teaching pros great folks that can teach you how to swing the club properly to mental coaches, to hypnotherapists, to TPI trainers, to nutritionists all of the pieces on the pie chart that's going to help you get better. And, as the last couple of years have progressed, my own game has progressed, having all of these conversations. What you don't know is, justin and I have so many conversations offline and we truly bring the vibration of what we talk about, not only between ourselves, but with John Erickson, with Brad Hughes, with Billy McKinney and all of the other great instructors that we've spoken to, out there with regularity. We bring that vibe to the podcast. We bring the vibration of we want you to get better, we want you to enjoy the game more, we want you to fulfill what your potential is, and that's the exact reason why we have this thing to help streamline the process of learning and improving and getting better. And hence, when you're playing better golf boy, life just seems to be better, doesn't it? Period.

Speaker 1:

So, moving forward, in 2024 and beyond, we aim to bring you more in depth, not only analysis, but information that is simple, that is going to be easier for you, the listener and the seeker, to resonate with. We recognize that some of you are more left-brain-orientated that need good engineering information that's going to help you to resonate with the information and help you take that information and incorporate it into your games. And there's those of you who are more right-brain-orientated who might listen to more the opposite just grip it and rip it type thing. We're going to have information as well with that. We're going to do deeper dives into the science behind it, the neurobiology behind it, the various ways to have whatever it is that you're working on and want to aspire to have incorporated your golf swing and in your own game. We're going to help you to find the methodologies and the processes that's going to help you incorporate that easily or easier. Anything in this game that you want to get better at is worth the process, and that's basically what we're getting down to is we're helping to streamline the process in 2024 and beyond. We've got some exciting people already lined up and already scheduled to come on in 2024, a few that you may know, a few that you may not, but either way, there are experts out there that are more than willing to help all of us play better golf, to have a deeper understanding of not only the game itself, but understanding of ourselves, anything that we do in this game that is going to help us to get better. We also help get better off the golf course, whether it's meditation that's going to help you on the golf course and off the golf course. Eating properly is going to help you in both ways. Working on your mobility, you're stretching. We've got our friend Lauren McMillan with yogolfcom performance that's going to help you to get better. We are going to push the envelope with this, moving forward in 2024 and beyond.

Speaker 1:

If there's anything that is pressing that you want to hear us, or find the person that you want to hear us pick their brains a little bit, you feel free to reach out. Reach out to myself, reach out to Justin. Once again, we're most likely going to find our DMs on Instagram the easiest. You can also email us as well. All you got to do is go on any of the links on any of the podcast directories to find out how to get a hold of us. But I'm going to say it here. The easiest way For Justin is at Elite Golf Swing all one word, and that's on Instagram. Myself at flag hunters golf pod all one word on Instagram. We're also both on Twitter as well, at Elite Golf Swing and at pod flag.

Speaker 1:

I want to give an extra special show of gratitude to shout out to all of you who have come on the podcast, who have enlightened us with your hard earned information that and are willing to freely share for an hour or so on the podcast. Hats off to you and thanks once again for coming on. There are those that we really resonate with, both Justin and I, that are going to come on again multiple times in the upcoming year with a deeper level of knowledge. Jim Waldron is most likely one of those, brad Hughes and John Erickson, kathy Hartwood and who we resonate with on a deeper level, and there's more that I just can't think of right now. But once again, cheers to you and let's go out and make 2024 the best year possible, both on the golf course and off. And once again, if you have any questions, you feel free to reach out to us. We're more than happy to talk to you. We're not too busy where we can't get back to you on the same day and we value our listeners and we value our relationship with you. And thanks once again and a belated Merry Christmas and a very, very, very, very happy New Year.

Speaker 1:

Make sure that you set an intention for the New Year for your golf game. Whatever it is that you need to work on, just go ahead and do that, and it's easier when you take one step at a time. I know for me. I got to get back into my fitness. I've got multiple resources and we're going to have multiple resources in that regard coming up in the year 2024.

Speaker 1:

And we're going to also acknowledge those who live in the north or in the snow line, where you can't play golf this winter. We're going to make sure that we have protocols and people that are experts at working on your game, whether it's in your basement in front of a mirror or you go to an indoor range. We're going to give you tools and resources and access to be able to do that and really improve during the off season. Just wanted to throw that in there once again. Easiest way to get ahold of us and on is on Instagram. That's the easiest way. So cheers everyone. I appreciate you very much and on behalf of myself and Justin have a happy, happy 2024.
